Harm of excessive use of chemical fertilizer! How many do you know?

The grain of fertilizer crops has been relied on by us for decades, which has greatly helped us to increase grain production! But decades of single use of chemical fertilizer has been totally excessive! It has even caused irreparable losses! Magnesium sulfate monohydrate

Hazards of excessive fertilizer use:

1. The chemical fertilizer does not contain organic matter and humus, so a large amount of chemical fertilizer is used. Due to the lack of organic matter and humus in the soil, the soil aggregate structure is damaged, resulting in soil hardening and a decline in the yield of agricultural plants.

2. The utilization rate of chemical fertilizer is low. The utilization rate of nitrogen fertilizer is only 30% - 50% because it is easy to volatilize and run off, and the utilization rate of phosphorus fertilizer is only 10% - 25%. Because the chemical activity of phosphate radical is active, most of phosphorus in the soil combines with Zn2+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Fe3+, Al3+and other cations in the soil to form insoluble phosphorus fertilizer. The utilization rate of potassium is only about 50%.

3. The quality of vegetables, melons and fruits is greatly reduced due to the large use of chemical fertilizers. As crops need not only nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, but also many trace elements such as calcium, iron, zinc and selenium, and chemical fertilizers are generally simple in composition, long-term use of chemical fertilizers will inevitably lead to a single nutrient in the soil, which will easily lead to nutrient imbalance of crops, which will lead to the obstruction of internal transformation and synthesis of crops, which will inevitably lead to the decline of crop quality, the melon is not sweet, and the vegetable is not fragrant.

4. Harm to human health. A large amount of chemical fertilizer is easy to cause the nitrate content in vegetables to exceed the standard, and the combination of nitrite and amine substances to form N-nitrite compounds is a strong carcinogen.

5. The massive use of chemical fertilizer also causes a large number of deaths of beneficial bacteria and earthworms in the soil.

6. The long-term inefficient application of chemical fertilizers often causes excessive accumulation of some elements in the soil, changes in the physical and chemical properties of the soil and environmental pollution.

7. From the perspective of China's massive use of chemical fertilizers, the more chemical fertilizers are used, the lower the geographical advantage will be, and the more dependent they will be on chemical fertilizers, thus forming a vicious circle.

8. Affect crop quality. Due to the large amount of single element fertilizer applied in farmland, its nutrients cannot be effectively absorbed and utilized by crops. Some chemical substances such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are easy to be consolidated by the soil, which makes various salts accumulate in the soil, causing imbalance of soil nutrients. The content of harmful heavy metals and harmful bacteria in some plots exceed the standard, leading to deterioration of soil properties, blocking the transformation and synthesis of some substances in crops, and reducing the quality of agricultural products. The excessive use of chemical fertilizer makes the growth properties of fruits and vegetables inferior, easy to rot, and unsuitable for storage.

9. The security of food and agricultural products is threatened. Excessive use of chemical fertilizer is very easy to make crops lodging, and once lodging occurs, it will inevitably lead to grain production reduction, threatening China's food security; Excessive use of chemical fertilizers is also prone to diseases and insect pests. The use of excessive nitrogen fertilizer will weaken the ability of crops to resist diseases and pests, and will be vulnerable to the infection of diseases and pests, and then increase the amount of pesticides used to prevent pests, directly threatening the safety of food.
